SING or PLAY ALONG

The idea of the below Yodio is to provide musical environment to parents looking for affordable way to bring music lessons to their children.
.

As I mentioned previously, B is a music teacher at Santa Monica k-8 school and she has extensive experience in nurturing kids to open up and find their musical gift. Many Westside families found B through Suzuki Association of the Americas, leading institution of children music education.

B has taught violin ensemble classes at Santa Monica College for five years and you see them in the Yodio pictures. Many UCLA parents bring their kids to the renown teacher. Extensive studies in neural processing of music discover how important music learning is to children perceptual, cognitive and social development.
Suzuki Association is dedicated to Early Child Education and brings the research on front page of its popular web site. Meanwhile, currently I have on my reading table two books:

- "This is Your Brain on Music" by Daniel J. Levitin,
- "MUSICOPHILIA: Tales of Music and the Brain" by Oliver Sacks.

One of the tools B uses at her home studio with great success is computer accompaniment. This basically is harmonic metronome, which makes it easy for a student to learn to intonate, count rhythm and develop ensemble playing reasoning. B's violin/viola students had significant achievement in raising their performance level. As a result many of the advanced students had moved to the leading chairs at their school orchestras, some of them achieved even principal chair. B's student Maiani recently graduated Boston Music Conservatory.

The above Yodio lets every student to take recorder, violin, other instrument into their hands and to learn play along the beautiful ALLEGRO by Suzuki.
